Battle of Guttar- Prefects Tower part4

Major Riga cursed as the vox report came in that the sewer rat squads he had dispatched were still in no position to help.  Riga listened as the reports of booby traps delayed his key reinforcements.  Reluctantly Riga sought to take a defensive posture for his force until reinforcements arrived.  Riga ordered his left flank to be refused.
The psycher with the infantry drew upon his power seeking to help shelter the men in his command.  Suddenly his body twitched as the warp overcame his mental blocks.  The Imperial psycher vanished in a brief warp tear.

The heavy weapons squad targeted the manticore.  Unleashing a flurry of heavy auotcannon shells into mobile artillery piece.  Suddenly one of the rockets was punctured and it's leaking fuel caught fire turning the entire vehicle into a funeral pyre.

Another squad of Liskavians opened fire on the monsterous horror that was the lord of change.  Lasfire bounced heedlessly off the warp spawns armor until a single plasma gun shot slammed into the things chest causing it to screech in pain.

The Liskavian manticore continued to fire in it's counterbattery mode.  Sending a deluge of missiles to engulf the Stygian manticore.  yet despite the heavy shelling they were only able to stun the stygian mobile rocket launcher.

The Demolisher despite the beating it had taken fired off it's smoke launchers in an attempt to save itself and buy time to anchor the imperial lines refused flank.
Imperial tech priests and servitors charged the Stygian infantry squad near the burning demolisher.  The sudden ferocity of the imperial counterattack caught the stygians off guard with a few of their number chopped down.  franticly the stygian squad fell back to regroup in the face of the imperial counter attack.

Battle of Guttar- Prefects Tower part3

A sudden massive explosion rocked the battlefield coming from near the Imperial left flank.  A hidden series of timebombs ripped apart the tall imposing ruin, leaving only a smoking crater.  Unfortunately for the Stygian forces no Imperial force had tried to use the ruin for a enfilading fire position.

Meanwhile the Stygian forces continued their advance, still intent to catch the Imperial force in a pincer movement.

The greater daemon of tzeetch slashed the air and pointed to his front.  A sudden rip in space time appeared with the warp now flowing into realspace.  out of the rift stepped ten serpent like daemons with hell forged blades dripping blood.

The psycher next to the command squad howled and feel to his knees the warp flowing through him overwhelming him.  Seconds later the psycher burst and a massive bloodthirster hovered it's massive wings keeping it airborne.

Major Astor ordered his command squad to target the Imperial Demolisher.  The laser cannon bored a hole straight through the turret detonating the ammo within.  The demolisher turret then exploded leaving a burning wreck in it's wake.

The other heavy weapons team targeted the immobilized chimera.  The three lascannons ripping through the apc's thin armor causing it to detonate in a massive fireball that left only a smoking crater and dazed Kharkovians in it's wake.

Meanwhile the dismounted squad of stygian infantry peppered the Liskavian heavy weapons teams with fire in an effort to suppress them.

An Advancing chimers joined in on the effort it's multilaser sending multiple shots into them killing one of the teams.

Meanwhile on the other flank the devil dog fired it's multimelta into the frontal armor of the demolisher before it stunning it and setting the hull partly alight.  The meltacannon fired with similar results.

The Stygian russ however took aim at the infantry advancing on the Prefects Tower.  The massive rumble of the tanks gun rang through the air followed by an explosion that sent even more Liskavian infantry to their deaths.

Battle of Guttar- Prefects Tower part 2

Major Riga of the 9th Liskavian guard regiment ordered his forces to meet the advancing stygians.  A chimera from the Kharkovian 5th regiment advanced towards the Stygian left flank.  As it rumbled forward it failed to spot the IED the Stygians had placed under a section of rubble and piping.  As the Apc got alongside the Stygian forces detonated the IED.  A massive and sudden explosion ripped the tracks off of the chimera.

Along the rest of the front the Liskavian units continued their advance albeit with greater caution.  They moved slowly keeping a watchful eye for further stygian booby traps.

Liskavian heavy weapon teams used plunging fire on the manticore on the stygian left flank.  Autocannon shots slammed into the artillery vehicle, stunning the crew and causing a tendril of smoke to rise out of the mobile rocket launcher.

Another Liskavian heavy weapons unit targeted the stygian chimera on the same flank.  Lascannon fire reached out striking the apc and stunning it's crew.

The last heavy weapon team on that flank opened fire with their autocannons as the greater Daemon of Tzeentch sending a flurry of fire into the daemon.  Shells slammed all around the warp entity but with only a single shot putting a hole into the beast eliciting a screech of rage that echoed across the battlefield.

On the other flank the demolisher opened fire on the chimera apc.  It's massive shell grazed the top of the hull down armored transport stunning the crew but failing to cause significant damage.

The Liskavian spotter tank checked the data it had on file and transmitted the coordinates to the Liskavian manticore two miles off.  A streak of fire filled the air as Liskavian counter battery fire slammed into the second stygian manticore.  Major Riga hoped it would be enough to silence the traitors artillery until his own units advancing below in the sewers could emerge and finish it.
