The Brigga incident

The Brigga incident came about due to an experimental weapons program undertaken by Khargoth the corrupt, the master of Possession of the 7th Hydra of the Alpha Legion.  The Siren Ash project saw the procurement of Siren Ash from the Elysian Gate in the Terra system and its transport to Khargoth the corrupt.  Khargoth sought to weaponize the ash so that it produced psychers, and warp conduits for daemonic possession for anyone touched by it.  The first major test was to occur on the imperial world of Brigga.

Alpha legion infiltrators overwhelmed a polar facility.  With the location secured additional Alpha Legion forces arrived for the weapon test.  Khargoth the corrupt planned on using a local rocket to carry the weaponized Siren Ash.  It would then be launched into the lower atmosphere within the planetary jet stream wind patterns and detonated.  The Legion would then observe the effect on the planetary population.

However a custodes force under Shield Captain Kirro had hunted the ash and had knowledge of the plan.  They arrived on Brigga just as the test was getting underway and a bloody destructive battle erupted that saw horrendous losses on both sides.  With much blood spilt Lord Kirro was able to stop the rocket’s launch.

Lord Kirro would pay a hefty personal toll as he was cut down by a champion wielding a daemonic ritualist blade.  Kirro was dragged from the field by his fellow custodes but a small extract of his soul was gone.  Trapped by the daemonic blade it was a prize for the Alpha Legion.  Omerta the dark had begun to make major strides down the path of glory with the taking and trapping of the soul fragment.  For Khargoth the corrupt it was a consolation prize that might yet be manipulated into a major boon or weapon for the Alpha Legion.  For Kirro it would mean confinement in the black cells.  And for shield captain Kalrokc it would be the beginning of a quest to retrieve his best friends stolen essence and bring him to redemption.
