Lord Magwar of the Alpha legion watched the auspex display as the imperial task force closed on the Dark Jihad. He grunted in satisfaction at what he saw. "Send the psychic pulse then bring us about. " he ordered. From the rift ahead of them two infidel raider frigates emerged. They were followed by three idolator class frigates and two murder class cruisers.
The two infidel raiders set an approach vector and launched torpedoes. The escorts shuddered as the torpedoes burst from their tubes and went screaming toward the sword class frigates.
The Dark Jihad then launched doomwing fighters to form a combat patrol screen. One squadron of doomwing fighters then began to screen a squadron of fire lord bombers heading towards the imperial task force.
