After unloading multiple regiments of astra militarum on the planet Tarsin imperial task force 127 proceeded in pursuit of the Alpha legion devastation class cruiser Dark Jihad.
The Alpha legion ship was making at high speed for a nearby warp rift. The imperial task force consisting of a squadron of sword frigates and the dictator class cruiser, Warspite and the dominator class cruiser, Justicar under commodore Kangas, led a vigorous chase. Imperial ships burned at full thrust to try and cut the cruiser off before it could escape to the warp rift. Unfortunately for commodore Kangas escape was never the goal of the Dark Jihad.
