recon team overrun

The recon team in the rift on the planet Veridia is detected then overrun by poxwalkers led by plaguebearer daemons.  The transmissions from the recon team are still sent out however to the waiting Impeium informing them of the horrific fate suffered by Veridia.  Contact with recon team 4472 was lost shortly after the data upload and they may have joined the ranks of the ranks of the walking dead.
