Ambush in the Dacian Jungles

 

Dacia Prime- In response to the raids on Imperial outposts pdf forces launched search and destroy operations to locate and eradicate the beastmen threat.  Pdf forces sent recon patrols into the warp haunted jungle regions long considered the haunt of degenerate tribes of mutant beastmen.

The beastmen and their Alpha Legion advisors knew the territory far better than the pdf and were able to evade their sweeps.  They still took the opportunity to ambush a number of Imperial patrols wiping them out and stripping them of equipment.  It wasn’t long before a notable casualty list began to accrue of pdf soldiers for little appreciable gain.
