Kushan IV- With the Stygian and Alpha Legion fleets firmly in orbit above the first drop pods began to fall on imperial defensive positions.

The first assault wave was often made up of chaos spawns.  Their mindless aggression and terrifying appearance and nature made them a ideal disposable shock force that would bloody and demoralize imperial forces before the primary drop assault.
