During the stygian wars the watch knights chapter made extensive use of inceptor squads. Often making planer fall right into the heart of stygian strong points, investors were used as a shock force. Their assault bolters blasted apart infantry and light vehicles. Their jump packs then allowed them to quickly advance to another target and repeat the process. In this manner they could strike a half dozen key locations inside 20 minutes or less. This gave them a battlefield impact that far outstripped their squad size.
