Servitor missile turret

 

In the wake of the fleet Quartus disaster Imperial worlds throughout the Stygian sector sought to beef up their defenses.  Arch Magos Maximilian began implementing a more advanced defense point turret using criminals, recidivists, and non productive personnel as a targeting computer for a frag and krak armed missile turret.

These turrets when installed had an effective date of nearly a century before needing to change out the Servitor.  Furthermore the servitor’s human brain could be programmed with targeting parameters and programs that nearly rivaled that of an abominable intelligence.  Maximilian saw it as increasing the efficiency in imperial society in praise and worship of the machine god.  The arch magos being of a particularly fervent sect of the Adeptus Mechanicus that placed little to no value in human foibles and perceptions as they stood in the way of greater understanding of the omnisiah.  Thus it was only in the desperation of the times that confronted them did Imperial governors heed Arch Magos Maximilian.  They then ordered the purges and crack down roundups of the population necessary to implement these new defensive measures.
