Imperial PDF units began using air mobile assets to launch a number of counter attacks in an effort to regain control over the situation on Kushan IV. Elite storm trooper units used the air bases that were still held to launch direct action raids on insurgent forces. They initially targeted small sites and those areas where the insurgents held very tenuous control. With these sites returned to imperial control they could fortify the imperial position and begin planning direct action attacks targeting the insurgents leadership cadre as they became identified.
