Kushan IV orbital repair yard- Alpha Legion boarding parties then struck the orbital repair yard. The repair yard was a prime objective of both Operation Headsman and the Crimson Dragon Offensive. With the yard in Alpha Legion hands Kushan IV could be used as a forward operating base by both the Stygian and Alpha Legion fleets. From such a forward naval base strikes could be made deep into Imperial space.
The yards when the Alpha Legion struck were lightly guarded. Imperial forces were annihilated within a standard hour. Again the Alpha Legion assault forces were keen to minimize collateral damage and as a result the yard fell relatively intact into their hands.
