Vashin subhive incident part 5
Even as kalgarth slaughtered his way through the imperial right flank a predator opened fire on an apc on the imperial left flank. The lascannons burned through the thin armor and set off the rounds with in. The resulting detonation left a burning wreck.
A death guard marine with a meltagun blew up another tarox even as the rest of his squad hammered imperial infantry with mass bolter fire.
All across the center of the battlefield death guard infantry poured withering volleys of bolter fire into imperial infantry. Screams filled the air as men were blown apart.
Panic began to sweep through the imperial ranks. A lone lieutenant stepped forward trying to rally the troops but a blast from a plasma gun turned him into a human torch that horrified the imperial infantry.
It was then that the death guard charged firing as they came and slashing warp corrupted plague knives into the imperial soldiers. Screams filled the air along with death gurgles and cruel laughter as the imperial infantry were slaughtered. Only on the imperial left flank did the imperial line hold intact by the narrowest of margins.
Special thanks to Jake Holte for his help with this battle report.
