The death guard dismounted from their remaining transports. Then slowly advanced through a hail of incoming fire to get to grips with the advanced imperial forces.
On the imperial right flank kalgarth advanced even as he reached out to the warp. Reality burst and a mass of black insects came forth from kalgarth. The insects bit the guardsmen in front of him. They fell screaming as poison from the bites burned through their bodies.
The land raider then opened fire with its lascannons setting an armored sentinel ablaze.
Kalgarth and his marines began to open fire on nearby guardsmen approaching them. The bolt fire annihilated the imperial infantry.
Kalgarth then charged into the front line of imperial infantry. His scythe slicing the soldiers with ease. Screams echoed to no avail or mercy. In seconds another 10 guardsmen lay dead beside the first ten who had been blown apart by bolter fire.
