As the purge continued Imperial forces encountered hidden weapon caches amidst the ruins.  Often these sights were littered with the bones of sacrifice victims.  Here was proof for Bishop Vercito that the mutants were worshipping the dark gods of the warp.  The amount of weapons captured in the caches indicated that a armed rebellion had been brewing in the outer habzone.
