During the stygian wars, the stygian empire made extensive use of demonic war engines. The venomcrawler was used either to spearhead an offensive or as a terror weapon. Their volatile nature made them dangerous to everything around them. They had the firepower and weaponry to tear apart a fortified line. Their ability to make repairs by feeding off demonic energy as well as the death and suffering they inflicted made them very durable. One venomcrawler even chain cocooned victims to feed off their fear and despair.
