A wounded Appian beat aside the plague knife and pressed his bolt carbine into the plague marines torso and opened up on full auto blowing the death guard apart. Another plague marine plasma gunner opened fire on brother Strabo engulfing him in plasma fire. Strabo emerged from the flames wounded but alive.
Brother Corvinus ran forward and engaged another death guard at point blank range. Firing his bolt carbine full auto into the plague marine he forced the traitor marine to fall back from his righteous wrath.
The remaining death guard grabbed the lone case of mutagens they had secured and fell back out of the ruins to regroup and await the reinforcements they had boxed for.
