The leaders of the faith often rallied imperial forces throughout the stygian wars. A bishop in service to the emperor would rally crowds into enlisting. They would send zealots out to fight. They also helped safeguard the minds and souls of imperial citizens. They were therefore prime targets of assassination attempts by the stygian empire and their alpha legion allies.
