Belisarius cawl had a deep impact on the mechanicus factions in the stygian wars. By committing tech heresy through the use of innovation and the success it garnered, it opened the door for others to try the same. Soon a number of mechanicus sub sects arose seeking to use innovation and repurposing of technology to provide mankind with salvation from the looming apocalypse. Some of these sects were benevolent and met with various degrees of success. Others of the belisarian faction wantonly committed tech heresy and brought devastation and horror upon humanity, all in the name of better service to humanity and the omnisiah.
