Sponge Attack 2

Tiaga Prime- Southern Front- Kitchner Offensive- With the initial attack by the Stygian sponge force, imperial forces would have to move out of marching order and form up in battle order to attack the Stygian position.  Air strikes and artillery preparations were made and the Imperial force launched a full assault on a position the Stygian abandoned after the initial clash.  Stygian forces had driven back a few miles to another ambush point to repeat the process again.  These sponge tactics drove up Imperial casualties and slowed the advance but were unable to bring it to a halt.
