Sanctifiers

 

During the Stygian Wars groups of fanatics and priests formed groups known as sanctifiers.  These groups often attached themselves to high ranking members of the imperial creed.  In battle they were ferocious zealots that would fearlessly burn through the Stygian infantry forces and help inspire counterattacks ranging from local efforts to full blown counter crusades.  As such they quickly were targeted by Alpha Legion forces lest they grow into a threat that could not be controlled or mitigated.
