Dark mechanicus boarding spawn

 

The Dark Mechanicus of the Stygian Empire under Alpha Legion guidance began creating biomechanical chaos spawn for use in boarding imperial ships.

The Alpha Legion were seeking a devastating boarding threat that was effective and utterly disposable.  Vashtorr worshipping dark mechanicus allies forged warp tainted metal bodies to warp fused flesh before channeling the warp into it to create a biomechanical spawn.  These proved to be incredibly effective in boarding actions especially when delivered via boarding torpedo.  They proved to be a minor disaster when used for ship defenses as they would mindlessly attack anything in sight including Stygian and Alpha Legion forces.  A number of the creations got loose on the Alpha Legion space hulk "Shard of Tartarus" and now haunt sections of it.  Preying upon anyone and anything that enters the deeper more remote sections of the hulk where it has made it's lair.
