During the Stygian wars both sides often deployed stealth satellites to observe behind the front lines and assist in communications in the field. Due to their importance both sides would often target enemy satellites they detected. These crashed satellites often contained treasure troves of intelligence data such as recon photos, comm signals and cyphers, and noosphere defense data. As a result these crash sites often became important objectives for both sides.
