On the ossuary moon of Vittoru, Grimm of the Black Legion prepared his next move. The ossuary moon was his and Harkon had managed to "persuade" a number of renegades and pirates operating in the rift to join Grimm. His next step was to construct a series of noctolith crowns to establish a hidden path through the great rift. Harkon had discovered that there was a large number of noctolith deposits on the imperial frontier world of Zaragoza. He had also brought word of a large imperial project being undertaken on this world. Hidden cabals of psychers had made contact begging for help. They told of independent tribes of beastmen and scavengers seeking a savior to rescue them from the Imperium. Socratis had seen future disciples amongst the psychers cabals. Harkon had seen a large number of new recruits amongst the tribes, and large numbers of slaves and sacrifices amongst the Imperial citizens of Zaragoza.
Harkon sided with the Dark Mechanicus and pointed out that a large number of mechanicus construction machinery was present on Zaragoza. Machinery that could be altered and improved upon to help recreate the ossuary moon in Grimm's image. Machinery that could build the dark forges dedicated to Vashtor as per their pact. The spoils of the campaign could be used by the dark mechanicus to build more weapons and attract more followers to Grimm. Socratis pointed out the eagerness of the Dark Mechanicus to embark on this war. Grimm knew that this act would further solidify their support for him.
Grimm gave the orders and his forces prepared to make war on Zaragoza. Equipment was readied along with war machines and daemon engines. Grimm and his captains began to plan their emergence into Imperium Sanctus and the coming campaign on Zaragoza.
