Dacia Prime- Alpha Legion led forces of beastmen sack outlier settlements. The beastmen looted everything of value and hauled away large numbers of prisoners. The scattered settlements had small garrisons that stood little chance against such a raid. Often the Alpha Legion marine leading the raid would infiltrate the settlement in advance and dispatch the guards leaving the settlement open to a surprise attack by the beastmen. After the loss of seven such settlements in two weeks Imperial command came to the conclusion that the garrison forces were insufficient for the purposes of defense. Furthermore they proved an inviting target to attack as such assaults would then recover valuable military equipment after they had slaughtered the garrison.
