The Death Guard armored assaults were often spearheaded by such daemon engines that made frequent use of terror along with the formidable armory to demoralize and rout imperial forces in it's path.  As can be seen above the daemon engine was not above devouring an Imperial soldier to further sow terror as well as slack it's unnatural thirst for pain, suffering, and death.
