Atomic weaponry

Throughout the Stygian Wars the Stygian Empire manufactured atomic weaponry under Alpha Legion and Dark mechanicus supervision.  Some of these weapons were stockpiled by the empire for defense, the rest were handed over to the Alpha Legion.  The Alpha Legion in turn smuggled a number of these weapons to hidden death cults on Imperial worlds.  The possession of an atomic weapon soon became a priority objective for both sides.
