1rst assault on outpost 279

Grenada Reconquest- Iberian Campaign- Iberia, outpost 279-  Soldiers of the 5th Anglican Imperial Guard regiment launch an assault on Outpost 279.  Despite a large predawn bombardment the Stygian Defenses are still firmly held.  The assaulting Imperial forces are cut down by Stygian artillery and small arms fire.  Seeing the ease with which the first wave of the attack was cut down Imperial commanders halt the attack and prepare to go back to siege methods to weaken the Stygians further before trying again.
